Phase 5 · Market Intelligence

Beneath the index

The Nifty or Sensex number is one line. Sector strength, heatmaps, breadth and institutional flows are what actually moved it — this is where we track them.

Real-Time Data

Gold, crypto & forex — live

Live quotes streamed directly from TradingView: gold, Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the key forex pairs — all updating in real time. Indian index levels are covered separately in the heat maps below.

Sector Analysis

Which sectors are leading, which are lagging

The index rarely moves in a straight line — usually one or two sectors are doing the heavy lifting while others drag. Comparing sector bellwethers against the benchmark shows whether a move is broad-based or concentrated in a handful of stocks.

Live pricing from TradingView. Sector Leaders uses one bellwether stock per sector as a proxy for that sector's direction, not a full sectoral index.

Heatmaps

The market, at a glance

A heatmap turns hundreds of price moves into one picture: each tile is one stock, color shows the day's change. Green is up, red is down. Tap a tab to switch between Nifty 50, Bank Nifty, and the full sector-by-sector Indian market.

Loading Nifty 50 data…

This table is built and ready — it reads data/heatmap.json, which a scheduled script populates directly from NSE's own index-constituent data (the same source this site already uses for FII/DII and market breadth). Once that job runs, Nifty 50, Bank Nifty and every sector shown here will be genuine, correctly-scoped Indian data — no third-party widget in between.

Market Breadth

Is strength broad, or a handful of stocks?

An index can rise even while more stocks are falling than rising — that's the difference between a healthy move and a fragile one. Breadth measures participation: advances vs declines, new highs vs new lows, and how many stocks trade above their long-term average.

This gauge reads technical signal strength on a broad market benchmark — a useful pulse check, but not a substitute for the Advances vs Declines count above, which reflects actual constituent-level breadth.

Institutional Activity

Where the big money is flowing

Foreign (FII) and domestic (DII) institutions move enough capital to shift the market on their own. Their net daily buying or selling, published after market close, is one of the most closely watched numbers in Indian markets.

This table is built and ready — connect an NSE/BSE or depository data feed to populate it with real daily FII/DII figures. Until then, check the live numbers directly at the sources below.

Insider Trading

Promoter & insider transactions

Under SEBI's Prohibition of Insider Trading (PIT) rules, promoters, directors and designated employees must disclose their own trades in company stock. These filings don't predict price moves, but sustained buying or selling by the people who know a company best is worth watching.

52-week highs/lows and % above 200-DMA aren't wired up yet — they need a heavier historical-data pipeline than the rest of this page. Message us if you'd like that built out next.

Good to Know

Questions about this page

Is this data live?

Index prices, sector leaders and the heatmaps (Nifty 50, Bank Nifty, and the sector-by-sector map) update live from TradingView. Institutional activity, insider trading, and the Advances vs Declines breadth stat are pulled automatically from NSE's public reports once a day after market close. New 52-Week Highs vs Lows and % above 200-DMA aren't wired up yet — those two cards say so directly rather than showing a placeholder number.

Where can I check FII/DII and insider trading data myself right now?

NSE and BSE both publish this daily, and SEBI publishes insider trading disclosures under its PIT regulations. Direct links are in the Institutional Activity and Insider Trading sections above.
